Click the icon to see a floor plan of the entire building. The building has four wings that extend outward from the main building. When the building was a nursing home, patients lived in the four wings. The four wings will be changed to accommodate new renters.

Renovation for Renters

Wing #1 will be rented to the county probation department. The department needs a records room, a waiting room, a lunch room, a holding room, and at least five offices. The space must also have public bathrooms and a lab for urine samples.

Wing #2 will be rented to the University County Extension (UCE). UCE needs an administrative assistant office, a large conference room, a 4H meeting room, a lunch room, a storage room, and at least four offices.

Wing #3 will provide rooms for homeless veterans, work release probation prisoners, and homeless county residents. Each room will house one person, with two rooms sharing an adjoining bathroom. Shower facilities will be dormitory-style the in last room of the wing.

Wing #4 will be single room or double room offices. Some offices may have bathrooms. Public bathrooms should be located at end of this wing.

Use the printout that shows a detailed view of two wings to plan the rooms for Wing #1 and Wing #2. You may remove walls and bathrooms as needed. Keep the changes to a minimum—changes are expensive!
